You may want to know, "What is a Presbyterian?"

Anyone who can be a Christian can be a Presbyterian!
The word, "presbuteros" in the New Testament means "elder," and is based on the democratic custom of selecting leaders and advisors from among the members of the church.  Presbyterians are a group of Protestants whose church is founded on this concept of democratic rule under the Word of God.
The Presbyterian denomination is a form of Christianity democratically organized to embrace the faith common to all Christians.  All are welcome to worship the living Triune God.  We feature interactive services of worship in a traditional setting; we gather together in service of the mission of Jesus Christ and reflective study of the Word of God.

What is the Presbyterian Church? It is a representative democracy governed by elders elected from and by the congregation.  Deacons are also elected to conduct the charitable ministry of the church.

What do Presbyterians believe?  Like other Christians, Presbyterians believe in:
  • God, the Creator of the universe
  • Christ, the incarnation of God on earth
  • The Holy Spirit, the presence of God in the world and in the believer
  • The church, a universal community of Christ's followers
  • Forgiveness of sin made possible by the crucifixion of Jesus
  • Life everlasting as shown by the resurrection of Jesus
  • The Bible, the inspired Word of God

Our Invitation to You:
We would love to have you visit us in person.  We are a Christian community, a fellowship of believers in Christ and dedicated to the principles of Christ. We acknowledge that we are called to love God, and our neighbors as ourselves. In fulfilling this mandate we accept and acknowledge the need of faith in our lives; the efficacy of prayer; the responsibility to preach the Gospel, administer the sacraments, seek truth and minister to the needs of others; and the responsibility to provide for Christian Education of children and members of the church community.
